BIOGRAPHY

Andre I. Khailo, age 28, of Wakarusa, died Monday morning November 20, 2017 from injuries from an automobile accident on Friday. He was born November 14, 1989 to Iouri Petrenko and Lydia Khailo in South Bend. Andre is a 2008 graduate of NorthWood High School. He was an Assistant Supervisor at Lippert Components, and previously worked at McDonald’s in Wakarusa. Andre attended Russian Conservative Baptist Church and First Church of God in Nappanee. He was a competitive Table Tennis player and participated in many tournaments. He enjoyed wolves, going to Chicago, and playing piano. Andre had many friends and cared for everybody. He enjoyed the Holiday seasons and giving to others.

He is survived by his parents, Iouri Petrenko and Lydia Khailo; a brother, Roman Petrenko, Nappanee; sisters, Alina Al-Shawi, Osceola and Nadia Petrenko, Lombard, IL; grandmother, Maria Khailo, Ligonier; fiancé, Cali Lane, he was engaged to her following a 9 year friendship.

Family and friends may call from 2-8 Friday, November 24, 2017 at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Wakarusa and 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Saturday, November 25th. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm, Saturday, November 25th also at the Funeral Home. Leonid Rusavuk, of Russian Conservative Baptist Church, Nappanee, will officiate. Burial will follow in Olive West Cemetery.
